Talc is powdered Magnesium Sulphate. Talc is one of the primary fillers used in paint making to decrease the sheen. You can buy unscented talc from a pharmacy or go to a local chemical supplier and they will have many different grades of talc.

Adding talc to glaze

You can add talc to the Proceed Glaze by pouring it in (While wearing a dust mask!) and then mixing it with a brush. Start with 3-5% and paint a swatch on a small index card to dry. Slowly increase your percentage and then look at all of your dried results. You will notice that talc will decrease the sheen of the glaze all the way to a dead flat as you reach the 10% range. This will also increase your thickness and speed up your drying time too.
