Applying Low Absorbency Base Coat

  • Mix thoroughly before using.
  • Apply one or two coats with roller or brush.
  • May be thinned with water if a lower application viscosity is desired.
  • Dries to the touch in 2 to 4 hours, depending upon ambient conditions.

Hints and Tips

  • Minimum film formation temperature is 49ºF/9ºC.
  • Avoid freezing.
  • Do not mix with oil paints or solvents.
  • May be used directly on unfinished sheetrock or wood surfaces.
  • Apply to clean, dry surfaces that are free of oil, wax, grease, loose paint, or mildew.
  • Glossy surfaces should be lightly sanded prior to application.
  • Test for color bleed-through if painting over stains or wall coverings.
